GREEN MINT (SPEARMINT), LEAF Dried
Dried Herbs & Spices
Natural dried Green Mint Leaves (mentha spicata) or spearmint, suitable for use as a kitchen herb and for making a delicious mint tea, herbal tea or ice tea. Also known as Aarmunt or Nane, Green Mint is the best choice for culinary use. Green mint or spearmint has a soft, mild and fresh taste as opposed to peppermint (mentha piperita), which has a much spicier and brighter taste due to the higher content of menthol in the plant.
Green mint, Spearmint or Aarmint also has many culinary applications and is often used to garnish drinks, desserts, meat, soups, vegetables and (fruit) salads. It can also be found in many cosmetic products such as toothpaste and shampoo.

MINT TEA
Dried Green Mint leaves have a more pronounced flavour than fresh mint leaves. Dried leaves are therefore always the best choice for dishes with stronger flavours. Because water absorbs the flavours of dried leaves better than fresh leaves, dried Green Mint leaves are the best choice for making mint tea.
Pure Mint Tea contains no allergens, calories or caffeine and can be a perfect addition to a diet and/or healthy lifestyle.
Preparation of Mint Tea
For 1 cup of tea:
Pour approximately 1 teaspoon (as you prefer) into boiling water and let steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
If you leave the Green Mint leaves to infuse for longer, the flavour of the Mint tea will become stronger. You can then remove the leaves from the tea, but for a stronger flavour you can also leave them in the tea.
Tip: You can add flavours of your choice such as a slice of lemon, cucumber, coconut sugar, cane sugar, honey... or combine with another herbal tea.

MORE ABOUT GREEN MINT or SPEARMINT
The use of Green mint or Aarmint is already known since the Roman time and originates from Europe. Today, mint grows in Europe, Canada and North America, as well as in the wild.
You can easily plant mint yourself in your garden, so you can always enjoy homegrown mint. It grows best in a moist well drained soil, rich in nutrients. It is an invasive plant that propagates itself through the rhizomes, preferably in a place in full sun or half-shadow.
The plant flowers from July to September with pink, violet or white flowers arranged in two apparent whorls.
